How Can You Wear ArtSoie Without Treating It Like Fashion Stock?
Wear can deepen the life of a silk artwork when handling, jewelry, weather and cleaning risks are understood. A collector-led guide grounded in material, evidence and lived experience.
Permission belongs to the edition
Do not assume every silk artwork is wearable. Check the certificate and care guidance for the specific ArtSoie. Hand-finished areas, condition or construction may limit what is appropriate.
Dress after preparing the work
Choose clean clothing and remove rough jewelry. Avoid fresh cosmetics, perfume applied directly near the silk and situations where food, rain or crowded contact are likely. These are ordinary precautions, not a demand for perfect behavior.
Let the image remain legible
Wear can create temporary folds, but it should not reduce the artwork to a logo or anonymous accessory. Consider how the artist's image sits on the body and which parts remain visible.
Inspect before returning to display
Use even light to check edges, contact areas, pulls, stains and persistent creases. Follow the supplied care guidance. Do not press or spot-clean by instinct.
Keep wear in the condition history
A brief date and photograph can help the collector remember how often the work leaves the wall or box. That record respects the artwork's lived history without pretending that access carries no consequence.
