How Does the Veatro Release System Work?
The release sequence matters because a removable artwork needs control at the moment it leaves support. A collector-led guide grounded in material, evidence and lived experience.
Release begins before contact
The keeper clears a clean surface, removes jewelry that may catch and confirms where the silk will rest. This preparation prevents the awkward moment of holding an artwork with nowhere safe to place it.
The sequence should be visible
ArtLoft should demonstrate which part moves first, where the silk is supported and how the work clears the system. The collector should be able to repeat the sequence from the written guide.
Return deserves equal attention
Reinstallation includes a condition check, correct orientation and even placement at the approved contact points. If alignment requires force, stop and review the system.
Documentation protects the mechanism and the artwork
Keep the current instructions, component list and demonstration date with the edition file. Record any service or replaced part. Protected engineering details do not need to become public for the owner to receive adequate operating guidance.
Compatibility remains object-specific
The release system should be confirmed with the actual silk. Construction, condition and finish can matter as much as nominal dimensions.
