What Did INNERSCAPES Ask Viewers to Notice?
INNERSCAPES treats presence as an interior condition shaped by material, memory and the way a viewer enters the work. A collector-led guide grounded in material, evidence and lived experien…
The title points inward
INNERSCAPES frames the interior as a psychological and material space. The useful question is how each exhibited work created that inward turn, not whether every artist illustrated the same theme.
Installation shaped the reading
Scale, distance, lighting and neighboring works affected how visitors encountered the exhibition. The final essay should cite the documented layout and artwork list rather than reconstructing from memory.
Artist language sets the limit
Use approved statements and recorded process details. Avoid assigning healing, trauma or spiritual meaning to an artist's work unless the artist has made that connection.
Audience response needs evidence
Photographs can show attendance and looking. They cannot prove what a visitor felt. Permission-backed interviews may be added later as clearly attributed voices.
