The studio establishes identity
Artist, title, date, medium, dimensions and process are confirmed while the work and maker remain together. Condition and fabrication notes begin here.
The gallery prepares public context
Photography, labels, pricing, exhibition history and sales records should remain consistent. Packing and installation become part of the operational file.
Transfer is more than payment
Invoice, certificate, provenance, condition images, care and hardware move to the new keeper. Privacy rules determine which ownership details remain internal.
The home adds history
Installation, relocation, conservation and later transfer should be recorded. Ownership completes no story; it continues the record.
