Look at why a maker selected a fiber, joint, finish or repair method. Copying the appearance without the reasoning produces costume rather than material intelligence.

Humidity, heat, airflow and intense light shape how objects are built and maintained. Gallery and residential specifications should take those conditions seriously.
Hand skill needs named authors
Credit artists, fabricators and communities. If a process depends on protected or shared knowledge, secure permission and define compensation before publication.
Bring the lesson back to use
Test service, replacement, cleaning and ownership. A material idea proves itself when another person can live with it, not when it looks persuasive in a sample tray.
