How Do You Choose Art for a Home Office?
Home-office art can support attention and identity without turning the background into a performance set. A collector-led guide grounded in material, evidence and lived experience.
Put the worker before the camera
A polished call background is useful, but the owner spends more time facing another direction. Prioritize the view that supports the working day.
Check digital interference
Bright glazing and high-contrast work can reflect in screens or distract on camera. Test daylight and task lights with devices running.
Use close viewing well
A home office lets the collector notice material and detail during short breaks. Choose work that rewards that proximity.
Protect equipment and art
Keep textiles away from hot devices, cable paths, rolling chairs and direct air-conditioning. Release access should not require clearing the desk.
