Keep one thing constant
The room may retain a color relationship, material contrast or emotional pace while the artwork changes. Continuity does not require the same frame size forever.
Photograph before removal
Record the full wall and object condition. Note hanging height, lighting and any hardware that will remain.
Store the outgoing work first
Prepare the correct enclosure and location before taking art down. Rotation should not create a temporary pile of unprotected objects.
Recompose the room
Move lighting or small furniture if the incoming work asks for it. Rotation is a new installation, not a picture swap that leaves every other assumption untouched.
