How Is Kinetic Silk Installed and Released?
Good installation protects removability and makes repeated release feel deliberate rather than improvised. A collector-led guide grounded in material, evidence and lived experience.
Installation starts before drilling
The installer should confirm wall construction, clearance, final height, nearby switches, vents, doors and direct light. The chosen position must support both viewing and safe release. A beautiful wall can still be wrong if the silk will brush furniture or require an awkward reach.
Veatro must follow its current specification
Use the supplied hardware and installation guidance for the actual system. Level, wall attachment and spacing should be checked before ArtSoie is introduced. Any site condition that requires a different fixing method belongs in the installation record.
ArtSoie is placed after the system is ready
Inspect the silk and note its condition. Confirm orientation and the approved contact points. The installer should not pull one corner to correct alignment or add an improvised fastener. The finished position should match the intended configuration without unexplained pressure.
Release needs a clear surface and two calm hands
Prepare where the silk will go before touching it. Remove jewelry that can catch. Follow the demonstrated sequence, support the material and avoid rushed pulling. The release should be easy to repeat from written instructions, not dependent on a salesperson standing nearby.
Close with a handover record
Photograph the installed work, wall fixings where appropriate, the edition marks and the final alignment. Keep the installation date, installer, hardware, care notes and release guidance with the certificate. If the work moves to another wall, start a new entry rather than treating relocation as invisible.
